ROAD TO HANA

Giving customers adrenaline-packed experiences with guided tours of Maui’s winding road to Hana, spanning 64 miles long - Consisting of waterfalls, cliff diving, zip-lining and snorkelling spots for brave and free-spirited humans.

While you can visit everything the road offers at your own leisure, the official Road to Hana tours is led by a team of experts who are native to the island. Allowing you to go to spots and locations you would never know of, if you aren’t local to the area, giving you an experience typical tourists would never get.

PROJECT GOALS

Design a flexible logo that can be easily applied across all sized materials.

Communicate a sense of fun and adventure that will attract the right target audience to the brand.

THE IDENTITY SYSTEM

The main project goal going forward was to make a mark that screamed adventure. Using brush strokes gives that rugged, off-road feel that would appeal to daring adventurers. The strokes are also the foundation of the identity that will be applied across all marketing materials and what will signify the brand. To add a bit more personalisation to the mark, the letter N is curved to imitate the twists and turns of the road to Hana.

LOGO FLEXIBILITY

Because the logo will be hard to read in small spaces, I designed optional logo marks and icons to be used when space is limited. This responsive system keeps the brand recognisable across all platforms.

INSPIRED BY THE SCENIC LANDSCAPES OF MAUI

The colour palette is bright and vibrant that’s sampled right from Hawaii’s blue sea and lush green jungles to make this eye-catching colourway. To balance out the bright colours I’ve added a dark grey which is a mix of the black sand beach and the Hana roads.
